Donald Trump has warned that Iran will have to “pay the price” for taking “too long” to negotiate a peace deal in the Middle East, after Washington and Tehran exchanged fire following the downing of an American helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz.
“Iran’s Military is a complete and total mess,” the US president wrote on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday. “Much of it, like their Navy and Air Force, doesn’t even exist anymore — They have been completely defeated.”
“They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!!” he added.
