Nestlé, the Swiss food group, has confirmed that it is in talks about a potential investment in China’s largest listed confectionery company.
Hsu Fu Chi said on Monday that it was in preliminary confidential discussions with Nestlé “in relation to a possible transaction relating to the company, which may or may not lead to an offer being made”.
Nestlé later confirmed that it was in talks with Hsu Fu Chi but declined to comment further.
