Hong Kong arrests baby milk smugglers

China’s health minister said on Monday that the smuggling of infant formula from Hong Kong into China was an issue Beijing was deeply concerned about after local news reports that Hong Kong had arrested about 45 traders allegedly smuggling infant formula out of the city to mainland China.

Speaking in Beijing on Monday, China’s health minister, Chen Zhu, described the smuggling of infant formula as a “temporary problem”.
