Stockholm saw a fourth night of sporadic arson and violence in several suburbs on Wednesday, but police scaled back their response while older residents tried to calm the mood.
Cars were set alight in some 15 locations around the city, according to Swedish television. A police station was attacked in Rågsved, southern Stockholm, and there were a dozen arrests.
Police said the fires were aimed at drawing them into confrontation, so they did not respond to each case. They reported as many as 90 incidents around the city.
