Richard Plepler is CEO of Home Box Office, which provides HBO and Cinemax pay television services to global audiences. He gained a BA in government from Franklin and Marshall College in 1981, and joined HBO in corporate communications in 1992, after working on the staff of US Senator Christopher Dodd and then running his own communications consultancy. He was named CEO in January last year.
