Aston Martin is famous for the roar of its V12 petrol engines.
But the sports car maker’s first silent model received a boost on Wednesday after the company signed a deal to develop an electric car with the Chinese backer of Silicon Valley start-up Faraday Future.
Aston said it would extend its collaboration with LeEco, formerly known as Letv, to bring a battery-powered vehicle to market by 2018.
